Kemp Smith is pleased to announce Drake Genna has joined the firm as an associate in the firm's Corporate and Business Department. Drake joined the firm after serving as in-house counsel to a public company, where his practice focused on corporate finance, corporate governance, and capital markets.
Drake received his B.B.A in Business Management from Northwood University where he was a member of the men's golf team and received NAIA Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar honors in 2014. Drake then attended Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law, where he was a Staff Editor for SMU's International Law Review, the Event Coordinator for the Sports and Entertainment Law Association, and served as a 1L Student Mentor for SMU's Student Bar Association. During law school, Drake also externed at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and a National Hockey League team.
