Kemp Smith LLP is pleased to announce Joseph D. Austin has joined the firm as an associate. His practice will be focused on transactional business, tax and bankruptcy.
Joseph received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Abilene Christian University, cum laude and is a graduate from Texas Tech University School of Law, cum laude.
During law school he had the privilege of interning with the Texas General Land Office. Joseph also participated in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and served on the executive board for the Board of Barristers as the Vice-Chair of Appellate Advocacy. He won two intra-school moot court competitions and a regional championship in ABA Client Counseling. Shortly thereafter, Joseph was honored with The Fortney Award for Ethics by nomination of his peers.
